Indra Adhikari (33) was working with an MNC before the start of the pandemic. After the first lockdown, instead of resuming her job, she bravely decided to embrace her heritage, and started dabbling in the Aipan artform. She had a natural flair for the art, and within the span of a year, she had developed into one of the most versatile and innovative contemporary Aipan artists of Almora. Never hesitating to experiment, she has tries to bring out a confluence of other artforms with Aipan through her designs. Her products are predominantly utilitarian in nature which she markets through her brand Kalarambh Arts. A regular on social media, her goal is to tap into the markets of all major cities in India through e-commerce and social media.
